What's the CTP all about?
The City of Atlanta's Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) guides transportation planning and investments in the near and long term. It brings together all modes of travel that support the needs and goals of our residents as well as the workers, visitors, and others who, together, make Atlanta a vibrant city. The CTP puts safety first, supports greener travel options, and connects neighborhoods for every resident, every mode, and every trip.
What do we mean by "Streets for People"?
Streets for People is the City of Atlanta's commitment to put people first as we advance a joint vision for our beloved city and our streets. We put safety and access first - building a street network that meets the needs of our diverse community members, neighborhoods, activity hubs, and travel modes. Streets for people create space for us all of us: drivers, walkers, transit riders, cyclists, skaters, and more!

What's the timeline for updating the CTP?
The CTP update process spans 2026 and 2027, with adoption anticipated in December 2027. There are many ways for community members like you to inform the plan. We're currently in the "Listening" phase, where we are learning the community's needs, priorities, and challenges.
